Founder's Story
I started 18 years ago taking care of horses, and now I’m a businesswoman with the determination to keep facing life’s challenges and obstacles.
My story is one of perseverance—worth imitating and similar to those who’ve risen from the ground up.
Despite all the adversity I had to face, today I not only manage a business, but I’ve also had the opportunity to rub shoulders with public figures in the state where I live, in Long Island, New York. I’m now part of the board of directors of the Peruvian American Chamber of Commerce of Long Island, which is made up of honorable and well-respected leaders whose mission is to promote Hispanic culture and heritage, as well as support the immigrant community in this country.
I left my beloved Huacho at the age of 20. I could have given up on my dream of achieving the “American Dream,” but I consider myself a warrior—committed to reaching the goals I set for myself.
“When I arrived in the United States, I started working at a racetrack, taking care of horses. I didn’t have many options, so I did the job as best as I could. Later, I worked in other places—a gym, a bakery, a home, and a laundromat,” I recall, as my mind drifts back to the years between 2005 and 2015.
“Life here—as it is for many Latinos—was a bit tough at the beginning, but then you realize this is a beautiful country full of opportunities.”
Seven years ago, I decided to start my own business, and I founded “Event Designer & Party Rentals,” a company dedicated to event planning, which has grown steadily over time. Today, I’m in charge of designing and decorating major events—not only for Hispanic families but also for the broader American community.
My involvement as a board member of the Peruvian American Chamber of Commerce of Long Island, led by the honorable Misolino Silva, came about thanks to my entrepreneurial spirit and dedication to serving the Peruvian and Hispanic communities.
The Chamber—considered one of the top Hispanic organizations—is composed of 13 members from countries like Ecuador, Colombia, Guatemala, Peru, and the United States. Its mission is to support Hispanic entrepreneurs and highlight the value of their cultural heritage.
Recently, I was finally able to obtain legal work status in the United States. “I’m grateful to this wonderful country because I’ve never lacked work, and it taught me to be strong. I’m convinced that every effort was worth it. Now, I work in service of the Peruvian and Hispanic communities.”
